Africori launches curator profile on Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer
African music services group Africori has launched a curator profile across digital services platforms (DSPs). Titled afriquency, the platform is intended to curate playlists that cover different genres of African music.
Curated by DJs, producers and journalists, afriquency flagship playlists are available across streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer and YouTube.
“We've just launched out curator profile afriquency across a few DSPs,” Africori’s Titilope Adesanya told Music In Africa. “The playlist will cover everything from jazz to Francophone Africa, with more coming.
“Curated by our editorial team of DJs, producers, journalists, execs and aficionados, the range launches with Afro Vybz, a collection of Africa's biggest recent hits; La Fête for the hottest tracks from Francophone Africa; and The New Collective for the 'about to blow' trendsetters. In the coming months, we'll be showcasing much more of the incredible styles, sounds, regions and musicians for which Africa is world-renowned,” she said.
She added: “Afro Hip Hop and Afro Jazz are home to the best from two of the continent's most adored genres, while Afro Fresh Friday serves up the latest brand-new releases every week."
