Dino Mudondo
Bio
Dino Mudondo is a musician from Zimbabwe. He was born on 7 August 1978. He ventured the country’s music industry in 2001 after releasing his song ‘Makorokoto’. His music was a mixture of reggae and kwasa kwasa genres. His social life negatively impacted on his career forcing him to go on sabbatical. He found some other means to earn a living but later made a comeback. He started singing at a tender age. This prompted him to become part of a school choir when he was in Form two.
In 2000, after high school, he formed Second Nature together with Delani Makhalima. The twosome used to perform at beauty pageants and fashion shows. In 2002, he released ‘Makoroto’. This saw him teaming up with Willom Tight. The joint venture didn’t last for long.
While working as a solo artistse, he has managed to release albums which had some of the following songs ‘Ndichakumirira’, ‘Jatropha’, ‘Gogogoi’ (2002), ‘Makoikoi’ (2003), ‘Estol Esperado’ (2005), ‘Shugamutape’ (2010), ‘Mhemberero’ (2010), ‘Zuva Guru’ (2011), ‘Quantum’ (2012) and ‘Ndakakupihwa NaMwari’ (2013). In March 2014, Mudondo said that he was changing his genre to dancehall star. He cited that the dancehall genre was gaining momentum compared to other genres.
