Bio

Lady Pace (real name Mwayi Mphande) is a hip-hop female artist from Malawi. Her keen for music began in her teens. Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Ashanti are her major inspirations. She is one of the fastest rising female rappers in the country. Her music is is a fusion of hip-hop, RnB and Afro-beat.

She has made a household name with singles such as ‘Weather’ and ‘Number One’. Her song ‘Sipadziko’ earned her a place in the top 10 chart. The song was a tribute to the late Faith Chibale. It featured female artists Lilia and Nyasa Candy.

Besides her music, she has also featured on other songs. She made an appearance on Piksy’s leaked song ‘Ndapondaponda’. She made an appearance on the BlackFace Family debut mixtape 'The Benjamins' on singles such as ‘Money Maker’ and ‘Party Anthem’ (Mapwando). She worked with the UNFPA on their campaign song called ‘Lets Condomise’. The song showed her ability to use her music talent as means of sensitization and behavior change communication.
