Young-Luv

Young Luv is a musician from Malawi. He was born in Nov 1986 and is based in Blantyre. He is one of the influential figures in the country's music industry. He began writing lyrics in 2000 and this marked the beginning of his passion for music. In 2007, his career began to take shape when he started working on an album.

In 2008, he recorded and released in debut album 'Straight Up'. The project was a success and it featured a popular song called ‘Sendera’. The song and its video were in 2009 voted number one at the Mdubs awards. It did very well on Malawi's top urban music charts and received airplay on BBC Africa. It also featured as a sound track on US series ‘Sweep’. ‘Sendera’ was produced by Malawian based producer in the USA Chawezi (Chazz Mattazz Munthali).

The album was followed by the release of singles such as ‘Ever Smile’, ‘Umandisuntha’ and ‘Uzandifuna’. 'Umandisuntha' track did well and managed get the first position in most urban music charts such as 102.5 Capital radio FM, 101FM Gowelo Beatz, Luso Beatz on Star Radio FM.
