Felabration Afrobics Dance Competition confirms 2019 finals date

Fifteen finalists will compete for top honours at the third edition of the event. The winner will receive 250 000 NGN ($700) as well as perform at this year’s Felabration. The first runner-up will take home 150 000 Nigerian while the second will win 75 000 naira. 

The judging panel will comprise renowned dancer Funke Kuti, The Crown Troupe founder Segun Adefila, Dr Dotun Ransome-Kuti, dance enthusiast Adedayo Liadi and famous dancer Ijodee.

The Afrobics Dance Competition was introduced three years ago at Felabration to honour the late Fela Kuti for pioneering the popular dance. Previous winners of the competition are The Star Kidz (2017) and Onome Otogi (2018).
