Call for registrations: SAMPRA music workshop in Polokwane
The South African Music Performance Rights Association (SAMPRA) in partnership with the Limpopo Music Awards (LIMAs) is calling on artists and record label owners to register for a music workshop at Polokwane Royal Hotel on 16 October.
The workshop, which will run under theme Building a Sustainable Music Industry, will be held ahead of the third edition of the LIMAs at Meropa Casino, Polokwane, on 19 October. The workshop will be coordinated by SAMPRA chief stakeholder officer Tiyani Maluleke.
“The aim of the LIMAs is to encourage excellence in the Limpopo music industry, through positive competition, recognition and promote the music business as a profitable industry,” SAMPRA stakeholder relations marketing assistant Yvette Rammalo said. “The workshop will focus mainly on music publishing and the collection of needletime royalties."
The informative workshop will start from 9.30am to 3pm. Artists from all provinces are free to apply.
Interested participants should RSVP before 11 October at info@limpopomusicawards.com.
Note that SAMPRA will not provide transport or accommodation for workshop participants.
