AKUGLO

AKUGLO also known as Gloria Akugizibwe is a rising independent artist. After nearly a decade of working behind the scenes, acclaimed vocalist and songwriter AKUGLO is launching into a solo career. Known for her soulful voice and dynamic presence, AKUGLO has been a vital part of the music community since 2009, collaborating with various bands and artists particularly as lead vocalist of Milege Band. For the past eight years, AKUGLO has lent her talents as a background vocalist to numerous artists in Uganda and around the world. In addition to her vocal work, she has excelled as a voice-over artist, voice trainer and worship leader.

On 29th November 2024 AKUGLO released her first single “The STORY OF LIGHT.” It marks a significant step in her journey, showcasing her evolution as an artist and her passion for music. “I’ve spent a couple of years exploring my musical identity,” AKUGLO shares. “This single is a reflection of my journey and the experiences that have shaped me. It’s a blessing to get this release out at my favorite season of the year. It is only the beginning!!! I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
