Bio
Ashraff 30 (born on 2 January 1979) is an artist from Dakar, Senegal).
Ashraff draws influence from his father who loved listening to music from such artists as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff and Alpha Blondie.
In 2006, he won the Best Performer prize at the Musica Controcorrente competition. In 2011 he won the Emergency competition at Alcatraz in Milan.
In 2007, he co-founded his first reggae group Kayamama with the Italian musicians. The following year, Ashraff released his debut EP 'Tambali'. In 2013, he released his debut album 'On the Way', followed by a very successful Italian tour. In 2016, he released the 'Colours and Cultures' album and the 'Nostalgy' album in 2018. The 2018 album features Sista Awa and Ombre Zion & Sangue Bi.
