Ban-T

Ban-T (born Baanthata Mokgwathi) is a hip hop artist from Botswana.

Ban-T’s humble journey to musical fame began with the video of his first single ‘Whyso faded Anthem’ which was released late 2015. It was the quality of the product that impressed so many people and immediately catapulted him into stardom. Taking advantage of the momentum created by the video, he then released another single titled ‘Naomi’ in February 2016 which then cemented his position in the industry.

In 2016 with his hit single ‘Naomi’, took the music industry by storm and had 4 nominations at the 2016 Yarona FM Music Awards, popularly known as the “YAMAs” and of which he walked away with all the nominated awards.

Since then he has produced hit after hit that has seen his songs get airplay across all radio stations in Botswana and also get reional recognition from his counterparts in South Africa, with YFM playing his music, not forgetting his world class music videos playing on Trace Africa.
