BlackLioN sounds like BlackLioN only! Afro German musician & film maker based in Berlin. From 2005 to 2012 He released his underground album , and pair of mixtapes . His raw & energetic flow roaring through Rap, R&B, Funk, Soul, Reggae, House, and Gospel & country tunes with a unique voice, creating a unique musical vibe "Blacklionstyle". Disaapointed by the lack of attention and respect for Afro-German in Germany, he turned to film making as a way of transmitting his message. 2013 - 2018 he wrote/produced & directed the on going first film " IT IS WAT IT IS" ( a tapestry of urban immigrational struggles in Berlin). His music and films portray some of the real life encounters as a Cameroonian refugee growing up in Europe & the US. In Feb 2018 he returned to music releasing the album " KEEP ON GRINDING". An uptempo Rap/R&B album fused with Afrobeat, Trap and Electronic Dance music . The album incl. the singles and videos for, PUT IN WORK ft. Megaloh ( German rapper), ROPE-A-DOPE & DOING MY JOB. BlackLioN also featured on the singles MOVIN UP & LOOK AT ME NOW (2018 ) by Pop artist, Solarrio. In 2020 BlackLioN has released the singles "Out of the mud" feat. Zlatan ( Nigerian rapper), MONEY DON COME feat. Ora Solar & Chris Btz ( Dominican Republic & France), I WANNA LOVE IT incl. a video, DEM GO VEX , HERE I GO AGAIN, PALA PALA, HEAVEN KNOWS ft. Pelez (Nigerian Singer). In July 2020 he released a 17 track Mixtape titled " FEATURE MIXTAPE" . It featured various artist like First Name Shayne( Boston) Solarrio ( Berlin), Raptourous (Berlin), David Battle (Berlin), Zlatan ( Lagos) , Pelez ( Lagos) In Oct. 2020 he released a single with new artist Smonobaby Titled " NA LIVER". He palns to released 2 more singles in 2020 and an EP in Feb. 2021. His movie " IT IS WAT IT IS" is also due for released in 2021. Stay tuned!!!
