The Daughters Band

The Daughters Band is Malawian first ever all girls band that was established first in 2013 by Music Crossroads Malawi.

The band was founded as an initiative to empower girls to take up more significant roles in the music industry. Since 2013, the band has grown into a female band institution where older band mates mentor and pass the mantle to the next generation of The Daughters Band.

The Daughters Band has performed at such music festivals as Lake of Star 2018, Sand Festival 2017 and 2018, Nkhotakota Music Festival 2018 and Ufulu Festival 2018.
