Dawidi

Dawidi is an artist based in Rwanda.

He is a singer, songwriter, composer and producer. He is well known on performing with a saxophone.
Dawidi considers himself an afro futurist artist and he proves that by bringing together the Rwandan traditional music with funk and jazz which creates an amazing fusional style.

Dawidi has a level 5 music diploma from  the Nyundo music school. He is also a multi-instrumentiste   who plays saxophone, Guitar, piano and Drums.
He does music for a purpose of sharing his perception about life with the world on topics such as love, peace and societal issues.

Dawidi has cited influences from Prince, Rujindiri, Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley while growing up on genres such as reggae, gakondo, funk and pop. He has performed in different prestigious occasions such as Kwita izina gala dinner 2023, FIFA congress 2023, JAMA fetival 2019, Kigali Up festival 2022, Mabara Meza festival 2024, Habari Africa festival in 2021 and so many others. 

He has also performed and shared the same stage with significant musicians like Mighty Popo, Mani Martin, Joey Blake and Teddy Riley.
