Estère is a New Zealand-based artist from Cameroon.
Known as Lola, her music is a mixture of bass, synth, drums, guitar, vocal harmonies, kazoo and cutlery drawers.
Estère’s penchant for extraordinary lyric writing escapes the common realms of popular music, delving into imaginatively philosophical narratives about displaced refugees, kids obsessed with technology, controlling urges, rent, prostitutes becoming presidents and much more.
She has opened for international acts such as Grace Jones, Erykah Badu, Flume, Kitty Daisy & Lewis, Aloe Blacc, Morcheeba and Baths. Estère has performed at festivals in South Korea, Europe and Southern Africa.
She released her debut self produced album in 2014 followed by another album called 'My Design, On Other's Lives.'
