Bio
Frank Paco’s impressive career includes highlights such as the 46664 Mandela AIDS concert performing with many of the world’s great musicians such as the legendary band “Queen”, Bono, Jimmy Cliff, Angelique Kidjo, Dave Stewart, Andrew Bonsu, Johnny Clegg, Brian May and Peter Gabriel.
Other highlights include performances with International artists such as Jonathan Butler; Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, the highly acclaimed house music group Ananda Project from the USA, British-born New York-based guitarist Ronny Jordan, New Yorker House singer Monique Bingham, Lokua Khanza, just to mention a few.
He has released two albums entitled "Buyanini" (featuring the great Andy Narell on steel drums) and "New Horizons" as an independent artist.
Frank is recording his forthcoming album in Sweden with some of the finest local jazz musicians.
This project aims to instil a sense of pride in our ancestral heritage, promoting unity in our diverse cultural societies and bringing about awareness of the fact that there is a common thread that links us all, even though we speak different languages, have different cultural practices, but through music, we are one.
The musical concept is an amalgamation of high-pulsating rhythms from Western, Eastern and Southern African, spiced with harmonic, melodic and Jazz improvisation nuances.
