Bio
Husayn Zaguru is an R&B Singer-Songwriter, Poet, Filmmaker, Public Speaker, and Entrepreneur. residing in Abuja, Nigeria. He specializes in Islamic-themed music.
In June 2015, Zaguru released a solo debut single 'A Slice of Date (Save the Orphan Child)'. The song was written in honor of orphans and refugees around the world. It is dedicated solely to all the orphans and refugees of the once-peaceful towns of Chibok, Burma, Syria, Maiduguri, and all other parts of Nigeria and Worldwide. He is an award winner and a recipient of the Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria (YouWiN!).
In 2015, he performed at a Unity and Peace Convention in Abuja. Zaguru also organized an IDP Awareness concert at Kaduna State. the event was designed to raise awareness for the less privileged and victims of insurgency in Northern Nigeria. In 2016, he was nominated in the Discovery of the Year category at the African Youth Awards (AYA).
In 2013, he produced, directed, and edited the feature-length international standard-rated Educational film '2 NIGHTS 2 DAYS'. He co-scripted (Hausa to English) the TV series script, 'Tun Ran Gini', a Polio TV sitcom. He developed, produced, directed, and edited 'The Wash Challenge', a Water and Sanitation reality TV/Radio series for children of the 'Know-WATSAN'.
He released a cover of Heal the World by late Pop star, Michal Jackson, titled HEAL NAIJA in January 2023..
