Joyful Way Incorporated
Bio
Joyful Way Incorporated has since 1972 been the pioneer of contemporary gospel music in Ghana. Their quest is to save the lost and perishing souls of this generation in their part of the world. It is no wonder that over the years, young people have given their lives to Christ, with many Christian groups and churches being revived during the group's outreach and evangelism programmes. This indicates the commitment that Joyful Way has in reaching many souls.
The group currently has numerous albums to its credit: 'Joyful Celebration' (2012), a live recording of 20 hit songs from over the years; 'Higher Praise' (2011); 'Nyame Ye Ohen' (2004); 'Barima Yesu' (2001); 'Joyful Way' (2000) for the U.S. market; 'Ose Soronko' (1999); 'Begye W’ayeyi' (1997); 'Osabarima' (1994); 'Jesus Thank You' (1991); 'Thru’ the Years' (1988); 'Never Give Up' (1986); 'Ofata Ayeyi' (1984); 'Help' (1981) and 'Joyful Noise' (1978).
Owing to their high level of professionalism, many awards have been granted to the group. Some of them are: MTN Ceval Gospel Awards (2007); Unity Awards (2003); Best Mass Ministry and Best Packaging and Sleeve Design (for 'Barima Yesu') at the Ghana Music Awards (2003); Most Outstanding Group at PAFAM (1990); and Best Gospel Group in Ghana by ECRAG (1988).
