Kanii Axtro

Bio

Kanii Axtro (formerly known as OBie Mavuso) is an Alternative R&B musician from South Africa.

Her music/events career kicked-off as one of the founding curators of events company Jam That Session across Cape Town between 2012 - 2016.

She first gained recognition musically after the release of her first EP 'Konscious Aktivity' in 2014 with the lead single 'Blessings Come Blessings Go' & in 2016, Kanii released her follow-up EP 'Cosmic Fire', followed by 'Feelings Matter' in 2020.

To date she has been featured on Okay Africa, AfroPunk, Pan African Music and more.

She has performed at the Rocking The Daisies Festival (2016) Smoking dragon festival (2018 + 2019), Melrose gallery (2019) 'Show-me' festival in Zurich, Switzerland (Jan, 2020)
