Kimambo Beats

Kimambo is a bongo flavour/ Afropop producer from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

His first commercial hits were 'Hatufanani' by Shetta and Jux, 'Papa' by Gigy Money and 'Banana' by Dogo Janja. Since then he has worked on productions for artists such as Joeboy (Nigeria), Nandy (Tanzania), Sauti Sol (Kenya), Harmonzie (Tanzania), Alikiba (Tanzania), Willy Paul (Kenya), Eddy Kenzo (Uganda), Timaya (Nigeria) and Ben Pol (Tanzania).

In 2019, and 2020, he was nominated for 'Best Producer' at the AFRIMMA Awards. His production style is characterised by change and continuity, punching bass lines, and a melodic and innovative approach.

In 2020, amongst his many productions, were hits such as 'So Hot' by Alikiba, 'Acha Lizame' by Nandy and Harmonize, 'Niteke' by Maua Sama, and 'Kiza Kinene' by Nandy featuring Sauti Sol.

Kimambo is also an advocate for the education of Tanzanian Producer's and artists with regards to their rights.
