Born and raised in the vibrant city of Accra, Ghana, Kunimyelor's musical journey began at a young age. With Mary Tackie as his loving mother and Joseph Bannor as his supportive father, his innate passion for drumming flourished.
Growing up in the lively neighborhood of Chorkor Chemuenaa, Kunimyelor's talent gained recognition when he joined the school band at just 7 years old. Little did he know that this would be the start of an extraordinary musical odyssey.
In 1996, Kunimyelor's remarkable skills caught the attention of the renowned Pan African Youth Orchestra. This talented young drummer quickly became an integral part of their mesmerizing performances, showcasing his exceptional technique and captivating rhythms.
Years later, in 2007, Kunimyelor's journey took him to the esteemed Soul Winners Band. With them, he explored diverse genres and expanded his musical horizons, mastering the art of creating soul-stirring melodies with his mesmerizing drumming prowess.
But Kunimyelor's creativity knew no bounds. In 2016, he took a leap of faith and formed the Chorkor Jazz Band, carving his own unique path in the world of music. Their harmonious melodies and infectious beats have since captivated audiences worldwide.
Kunimyelor's exceptional talent has not gone unnoticed on international jazz stages. Sharing the spotlight with legends like Sean Nowell, Victor Dey Jr, and Berima Amo, his drumming has transcended borders and mesmerized audiences globally.
