Mandi Vundla & The Bantu Social Jam is a live poetry in song production of Mandi Vundla's debut album: A Love Song for Miriam. The Album is composed in honor of the iconic relic of African song, humanitarian, and Pan-Africanist: Miriam Makeba.
The spoken word/music album is composed by Karabo Condrad Khumalo, mixed and mastered by Neo Sebaka and features vocalists: Zu. and Khokho Madlala. Poems such as a Love Song For Miriam, Black-Out, Bloody Alphabet and the likes, are dribbled between jazz, a touch of the blues and ethnic African sounds.
About Mandi Vundla: Vundla is a two-time undefeated slam champ with over ten years in of practice in South Africa's Spoken Word scene.
She is a poet mentor and founder of the Poetry Zone ZA.
The Bantu Social Jam Band Is an eclectic jazz band with a matured sound fusing jazz, neo-soul, hip hop, broken beats, and afro lounge to form an irregular yet pleasant sound.
