Music Friday Vs Remix Friday is an initiative created by Thamsanqa Mcina, a local music producer and artist, in May 2019, to promote and create a platform for local artist in the Hip Hop genre. The platform was intended to have a wider audience experience their music on a single platform that is universal and not affiliated to the specific artist. On this platform there are musical releases, including original and remix tracks.

In these 3 years Music Fridays has been operating on a self-funded budget and had to bare the loss of inability to expanding into greater heights due to not having the resources available to create a larger awareness, despite managing to reach viewership of over 1000 followers on its digital platforms. Engineers, producers and artists had to put their musical ambition on hold due to having to sustain a living outside the music and this came as a short fall for the brand. However, this did not diminish the quality of the productions. As we stand, there are still people who are pleased to be part of the 2021 season of Music Friday. In our approach to stakeholders, we are hoping to establish a relationships that will create excitement and determination with the team and the public at large.
 
Currently we are working our 3rd season, each season takes place annually. Which will  end before 24th of December 2021 followed by the 4th season in 2022. We are looking creating an online digital performing platform and podcasts, considering we only releasing music digitally.
