Nehoreka

Nehoreka is an Afro-fusion band based in Zimbabwe. They play Karanga traditional music, mbakumba, shangara and mhande, which they fuse with modern genres like rock, reggae, kanindo and jazz. These are the ambassadors of Karanga music. The band was formed in Gweru, the third largest city in Zimbabwe, in 1998 by Percy Pinias after taking a break from the family band the legendary Mansouljah and Pace. The band is now based in the capital Harare. To date the band has produced four albums, including 'Magagada' (1999), 'Pfimbi Yangu' (2012) and 'Shoka' (2013).
