Otunbq

Born Mayowa Otunba Akinwumi on the 26th of August, 1999 into a family of 3. 1st of 3 children,
native of Ondo town, Ondo West LGA, Ondo state. Raised in the city of Port Harcourt, he was
majorly influenced by artists such as Danas, Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, Duncan Mighty, TuFace
Idibia, Wizkid, Drake. He started songwriting in his first years of secondary school at the age
of 11. He is currently an undergraduate at the Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti.
Growing up, Otunbq was priviledged to be around his cousin's house over the holidays. He
gained access into their studios and musical experiences which shaped his sound and
boosted his recording and performing abilities. He was easily a professional by the time he
was 13, still he continues on his musical path.
