Puppy Pound

Puppy Pound is a teen musical duo from Lagos, Nigeria.

The duo brings together 2 talented teen singers and songwriters stage named Bichon and Shepherd, each building a relentless passion for music over time.

The duo who initially started as a trio emerged from a talent hunt and made their debut in 2017. The group has since rolled out three Afro-fusion tracks namely 'Body', 'Olayinka', and 'Lookrie' with a very positive response. They also took a bolder step in August 2019 to release a six-track EP titled 'Puppy Love' which earned the group a lot of recognition.

The versatility of the group’s sound makes it appealing to a wide range of listeners. It leverages on Afro-pop’s highly dance-able tunes that endears to lots of teenagers and young adults. Adding to that, their music features traditional Afro and soul.

Unlike most upcoming acts who usually experience delays in reaching a diverse range of listeners, Puppy Pound is not only able to create an impression on listeners of diverse backgrounds; the group is already gradually influencing the Nigerian pop culture.
