Bio
Siphiwe Sip Nkabinde is a Zulu traditional songwriter, vocalist, actor, voice artist, mentor, dancer, musician and a businessman. He was born in Bergville (Emoyeni), KwaZulu Natal province of South Africa but grew up in Langkloof across UThukela River. Sip is an international creative artist whose talent continue to shine locally and abroad. He is a founder of Amacusi Productions which produces and publishes music library for various television and radio content. He has worked with a number of great songwriters, musicians, vocalists, actors, theatre producers and businesspeople who has shaped his career. Sip’s music work has been featured and continue to be heard on our local TV and radio programs and international ones since 2010; a local movie called “Between friends”, an international music program called “The Sing-Off”, “Uzalo”, “The Queen”, Isibaya, Moja Love programs, eTV programs and other Mzansi Magic channels like “iHostela” and eTV uKhakhayi. In 2013, some of his music work through Slam production (Songs from KwaZulu - Sip featured as Nxele) which is one of his nicknames back home was released online. In 2020, Sip released his first Single call Leyongoma “That Song” followed by “Isililo ngeSilo” dedicated to our late Zulu King. He is now promoting his newly released EP called Amaphupho (Dreams) which is available on digital stores and on CDs.
