Andrson takes artist discovery app to desktop
UK artist discovery platform Andrson has expanded its app to desktop users.
The A&R platform, which is already available on iOS and Android, now allows web users to discover and connect with talent from their devices.
The AI-powered tool combines automation with human discovery, which the company says will help connect emerging artists to the right music industry professionals and assist music executives to search for the perfect sound.
The desktop version has been designed with all the same functionalities that are available on the app, including Collaborate, Discover, Messenger and Dashboard – to help users navigate through the platform.
Andrson uses machine learning to listen, analyse and assess the music being uploaded by new artists against a growing collection of commercial recordings, giving users balanced search results. It then offers the end user artist recommendations, in percentages.
Music industry professionals can make specific searches using certain criteria depending on the type of sound they’re looking for. Search criteria include gender, age, location and distance. For example, a user can look for a female musician aged between 26 and 35 years old, who is located within 50km of London and sounds 65% like Jorja Smith.
“While our subscribers enjoy using our mobile app, we have rolled out the web version of Andrson in response to growing demand from our customers,” Andrson co-founder Neil Dunne said.
“It complements our mobile offering, providing another way to utilise Andrson as a tool for day-to-day talent discovery search. We are continuing to develop our products and its features, so that the user experience is the best it can be.”
Andrson is currently offering free membership to artists for the remainder of the year. Custom packages can be tailored for music industry professionals.
