Bandsintown launches marketing tools for live music
Artists and concerts discovery platform Bandsintown has unveiled a number of new marketing tools for live music called Fan Management Suite
Bandsintown allows users to receive notifications about tours and bands playing in the user's area. It also has tools for artists to manage tour dates. The free tools form part of Bandsintown for Artists hub. They include features for direct messaging with fans, an email builder with drag’n’drop editing, events widget that enables users to embed their own site, signup forms to gather fan contacts, fan engagement dashboard and analytics.
Through the new tool, the platform said it seeks to help artists build a more sustainable future by enabling them to “own their own first-party data and build marketing strategies that will help them grow over time.”
Additionally, Bandsintown has launched a series of Artist Playbooks, which will show users how to navigate the various new tools for specific purposes, ranging from fan growth to tour promotion, merch sales and more. The first playbook can be accessed here.
Bandsintown co-founder and managing partner Fabrice Sergent said: “There is no sustainable future for artists without the ability to own their first-party data”. Email is one of the most resilient platforms if you think about it. There’s not a better place than the inbox to communicate with fans.”
He added: “This whole industry only exists because there are courageous people who can create art and this is incredibly difficult. We don’t see them as clients. We see them as partners. We co-built this platform together and we extract revenue and money elsewhere [in the industry], so we can provide them with the best possible service.”
