Call for applications: Ethno Mozambique music camp
Music Crossroads Mozambique is inviting artists from across the globe to submit applications for its Ethno Mozambique music camp in Maputo from 26 February to 5 March.
Ethno Mozambique is a traditional and folk music camp where young musicians from across the globe use the peer-to-peer learning approach to teach each other the music from their countries and cultures.
Requirements
- Music Crossroads Mozambique is looking for 20 participants from around the world aged between 18 to 30, who are expected to participate with three experienced artistic mentors.
- The music camp will take place in a setting with a natural and quiet atmosphere at Pequenos Libombos, located 49km from Maputo.
- Aside from touring the natural landscape and visiting historical and cultural sites, the participants will take part in activities such as zumba dance and xigubu sessions during morning gatherings.
- Participants will have the opportunity to interact with the local community through two showcase concerts at different locations.
Application process
- Young musicians can apply here before 15 February.
- Applicants also stand a chance of receiving a mobility grant depending on the applicant’s country of origin.
