
Call for applications: Global Cultural Relations Programme in Turkey
The Cultural Relations Platform is inviting applications for the 2022 edition of its global training programme in Istanbul, Turkey, from 10 to 13 May 2022.

Funded by the European Union (EU), the Global Cultural Relations Programme (GCRP) project connects cultural practitioners from around the world for dialogue, exchange and cooperation while providing expertise to the EU in the field of international cultural relations.
The programme offers people working in the cultural and creative sectors an opportunity to broaden their skills in international cultural relations, and network with cultural and creative practitioners around the world. The project helps applicants develop a collaborative, international cultural project as well as an opportunity to join the Cultural Relations Platform’s community of 180 GCRP alumni on a long-term basis.
The Istanbul programme will be conducted in English.
Who can apply
- The programme is looking for 40 professionals and entrepreneurs working in the cultural and creative sectors.
- Applicants should be aged 25 to 39, with at least three years’ experience in international collaboration.
- Applicants could work for a public, private or civil society organisation, or be a freelancer.
- Applicants will need to be able to commit to the programme throughout its duration from 10 to 13 May 2022 and allow time for travel to and from Istanbul.

Note: Applicants will need to provide information on their professional experience, explain their motivations for applying and how they meet the criteria above.
Timeline
- Monday 9 May: Participants arrive in Istanbul.
- Tuesday 10 May to Friday 13 May: Four full days of peer-to-peer learning, knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Friday 13 May: Programme closes.
The application form must be completed in English. Applications from those not working in the cultural or creative sectors will not be considered.
Note: Applicants working at the EU institutions or any of our consortium partners (Goethe-Institut, IETM, European Cultural Foundation and the University of Siena) are not eligible for the GCRP.
