Call for applications: MTN Bushfire Schools' Festival facilitators
MTN Bushfire is calling on interested individuals to apply to be facilitators at its schools festival in eSwatini from 20 to 23 May. The call is intended for creative practitioners in music, dance, drama, poetry and the fine arts.

The event will employ the Child Social Protection theme to raise awareness about issues such as emotional, financial and sexual abuse, as well as child exploitation, children with disabilities, child-headed families, homelessness, substance/drug abuse, early marriage and bullying.
Interested applicants are asked to submit their CVs and a concept brief detailing how they would showcase the theme through workshops and performance-based activities.
Emails should be submitted to Notsile Nkambule at projectmanager@bush-fire.com. The application deadline is 31 January.
"The foundation is laid for a child’s physical and mental health, affecting everything from longevity to the lifelong capacity to learn, from the ability to adapt to change as well as resilience against adverse circumstances," MTN Bushfire said. "There are many sub-themes within child social protection that the festival explores such as child labour, children with disabilities, education, health, identity, exploitation and violence.”
The initiative is supported by the MTN Bushfire main festival and the EU. It intends to counter the lack of a formal arts curriculum in eSwatini’s public schools. It will engage pupils from across the country and combine the arts with social responsibility themes.
