Call for applications: Music training in Russia
The Russian Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg is accepting applications for the School of Innopraktika and Russian Seasons international programme for art, music and choreography.
The programme, which will take place between May and July, is aimed at acquainting foreign art students with Russia and promoting intercultural dialogue between representatives of different countries, artistic views and aesthetic traditions.
Young international students and art professionals can apply in the art, music and choreography categories, which have 15 slots each. Following the training, which will be done in English, all participants will receive diploma certificates and special prizes.
The music training session is scheduled to take place between 1 and 21 July.
Music wrequirements
- Applicants should be aged between 18 and 30.
- Applicants should present an art portfolio with professional achievements and a video of their performance with a music programme (for vocalists and conductors).
- Composers must provide sheet music, dubbed tracks or studio recordings of their compositions.
- Both instrumental (mostly small form) and vocal works, solo and choral (including folk songs’ arrangements) can be demonstrated.

The application deadline is 15 April.
To all participants, the programme will cover:
- Visa costs.
- Round-trip tickets to St Petersburg and airport transfer.
- Accommodation and full board expenses during the session.
- Educational and cultural programme expenses.
- All work materials.
The deadline for choreography elapsed last month. Choreography and art training will run between 10 and 28 May.
