Call for entries: Paradise Africa Women’s Month competition in SA
Paradise Africa, in collaboration with Africa Rising Music Conference (ARMC), is calling on South African female musicians, producers and managers to submit entries for its Women’s Month competition.
The competition seeks to provide a dynamic gateway for independent South African female artists to showcase their music on a global scale. Female singers, producers, songwriters, artist managers and label owners, who are currently looking for a distribution partner or label for their music, are invited to submit their demos via this form.
After filling the form, participants should promote their demos on social media and tag Paradise Africa. The demos should also be emailed at bm@paradise-distribution.com.
The winners will be announced on 31 August and will recieve:
- Professional mastering by Berlin-based studio partner Black Head Studios.
- Creation of artwork and social media assets used to promote their release.
- The support and mentoring from a professional team and label structure to plan and execute the release of their music globally with proper shop marketing.
- Artist & repertoire (A&R) feedback from label managers based in Paradise’s San Francisco, Johannesburg and Berlin offices.
- One lucky artist will be presented with a deal from Paradise Sound System.
- One lucky artist will get plugging for their single to all South African radio stations.
- Five artists or managers will receive R1 000 to spend for the promotion of their music on social media.
"Aligning with ARMC makes total sense for us at Paradise Africa," Paradise Africa’s Smanga Manela said. "We look to encourage and support the development of females across the artist and executive space."
ARMC founder Sarah-Jane Nicholson said: "ARMC shares the same visions. We are looking forward to the outcome of this collaboration.”
