Open call: Training opportunities at A Mulher Criativa Festival 2025
Music Crossroads Mozambique invites artists, creatives, and cultural professionals to apply for a transformative series of training sessions taking place during the second edition of the A Mulher Criativa Festival, scheduled from 12 to 16 May 2025.
- Applications are open to individuals of all genders working within the arts, culture, and creative sectors.
Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, A Mulher Criativa Festival returns with a renewed mission to celebrate and amplify the role of women in music, the arts, and culture. Organised by Music Crossroads Mozambique, the annual festival brings together a diverse community of artists, creators, thinkers, and cultural leaders for a vibrant programme of concerts, performances, exhibitions, creative fairs, and more.
This year’s festival goes beyond conversation offering practical, skill-building training sessions designed to empower women and strengthen their presence in the cultural and creative industries. All sessions will be facilitated by experienced and recognised professionals, and participants will receive certificates upon successful completion.
Training topics include:
- Project proposal writing and fundraising.
- Financial independence for female creatives.
- Audio engineering.
- The artist’s journey – from creation to the stage..
- Copyright and intellectual property.
- Reusable pad production.
These training sessions aim to equip participants with essential tools to grow and sustain their creative practices, while contributing to wider goals of gender equality and empowerment.

Applications are open to individuals of all genders working within the arts, culture, and creative sectors. Practising artists, aspiring entrepreneurs, cultural organisers or creative professionals, are encouraged to apply and be part of this dynamic, inclusive experience.
