Call for nominations: Ghana Music Awards USA 2023

First presented in October 2020, the event is the brainchild of Don’s Music Production, and seeks to spotlight and celebrate outstanding Ghanaian musicians in the diaspora, particularly in the US. Additionally, the event aims to promote music and culture from the West African country globally. 

The call is open to Ghanaian musicians based in the US. The scheme will consider works released throughout 2022 and will reward artistic accomplishments in more than 30 categories.

The deadline for filing nominations is 31 January.

At last year’s edition of the awards held at the Lincoln Theater in Columbus, Ohio, highlife singer Kofi Kinaata walked away with the coveted Artist of the Year prize.
