Call for registration: NFT webinar for creatives on 3 February
The Kenya Copyright Board (KECOBO) and YAKWETU are calling on creatives to register for a webinar titled Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and Their Connection to Blockchain and Cryptocurrency on 3 February from 2.30pm to 4.30pm EAT.
Non-Fungible Token (NFTs) are a non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a blockchain, a form of digital ledger, that can be sold and traded. Types of NFT data units may be associated with digital files such as photos, videos and audio.
The webinar seeks to demystify NFTs in a global, Kenyan and African context. It will be moderated by intellectual property lawyer Liz Lenjo and will feature panellists including 2D animator & NFT enthusiast Chris Njoka, communications, IT and public policy specialist Michael Onyango and Camerapix chairman, content creator and publisher Salim Amin.
The webinar will be held on Zoom and the public can register here for free.
