Nigerian digital media company Techpoint Africa is calling on interested participants to register for its startup workshop at the Techpoint Startup School in Port Harcourt from 20 to 22 May.
The programme is open to startup businesses within or around Port Harcourt that struggle to secure funding, finding the right co-founders, or build a team. The workshop is limited physical-only attendance, and will begin at 6am WAT on each day.
Techpoint Startup School is an all-inclusive training institute for founders, creators, small business owners, product leads, designers, technical officers, sales and marketing executives, across all industries, including music. The organisers say the summit will also allow participating individuals to grow their network.
The instructors for the programme will include Chigisoft founder Precious Chukundah, Pamdrive CEO Eziekel Amefula, Startup South founder Uche Aniche, Aderemi Fagbemi, who is a partner at Tope Adebayo LLP, and Ayobami Terigba, who heads the relationship operations at Ingressive Capital.
Participants will be taken through concepts such as how to find co-founders and create a founding team, organisational structure, how to set up an advisory board, deciding when to bring in a board of directors and raising pre-seed to Series A funding. Other areas will include understanding equity structuring, vesting, team stock options and the legal framework for startups.
