Ghana: Samini scores endorsement deal
Ghanaian reggae-dancehall singer Samini has inked an endorsement deal with Oak Wellness Hub, a chiropractic services firm based in Accra.
The company confirmed the partnership in an announcement on Instagram this week, noting that it was “honoured to welcome Samini as our brand ambassador.”
The agreement makes the singer the face of the brand, strategically aiming to amplify the company’s visibility through his national prominence.
“We are so grateful and so happy that you chose to partner with us,” lead clinician and executive partner at the company, Dr Afua Adjei-Kwayisi, said in an attendant video of the signing ceremony.
“There are many wellness centres out there but you still have come in, seen the value that we give here at Oak Wellness, and it is amazing. For me, this is just iconic in a way.”
On his part, the musician said: “I’m excited for this because in my line of work, we travel around a lot, and we find it difficult to make time for such care, so if I’m partnering with an outfit like this, I’m at home.”
Active since 1999, Samini is widely referenced as the pioneer of the “African dancehall” sound that blends highlife, dance hall, reggae, and hip hop. He is behind several successful albums, including Dankwasere (2004), Samini (2007), Dagaati (2008), C.E.O (2010), Next Page (2013), Breaking News (2015), and Untamed (2018).
Samini’s other notable brand partnerships include a 2020 ambassador role with FBNBank and an eight-year relationship with MTN that lasted until 2015.
