Linkfire appoints Peter Balint to board of directors
Danish music marketing platform Linkfire has announced the appointment of Peter Balint to its board of directors.
The news follows the company’s annual general meeting on 26 April, with Linkfire noting that he “brings extensive experience from various executive management and board positions, and has a strong financial and operating background.”
Co-founded in 2014, Linkfire has grown to a global team with offices in New York and Los Angeles. The company’s customer and partner base includes most artists on Billboard’s annual Hot 100, major music labels, global audio and music streaming services, social media apps, and media publishers.
Balint has previously worked at Erste Bank Group in various positions within the investment banking division, and was the managing director of Slovakia-based private equity firm Infinity Capital Group where he led investments into portfolio companies in energy, real estate and technology.
He replaces Petra von Rohr, who did not stand for re-election. The company expressed gratitude to Von Rohr for her hard work and dedication, and looks forward to crossing paths again in the future.
Linkfire says its SaaS platform has transformed music marketing, and is now expanding into audio entertainment discovery with the aim of creating a personalised recommendation network that caters to individual preferences and listening habits.
In 2022, Linkfire enabled 2.1 billion consumer connections, with revenue of 52.6 million Danish krone ($7.8m), representing an annual growth of 56%, according to the company’s annual report.
Linkfire’s focus on short-term return initiatives and the least capital-intensive deployment of cash is expected to drive continued growth in revenue and profitability in 2023. This year, Linkfire is also narrowing its operating focus to short-term return initiatives and the least capital-intensive deployment of cash.
The company expects to achieve EBITDA breakeven for the year, guided by revenue in the range of $9m to $10m, corresponding to a yearly growth of 14 to 33%.
