Mayorkun shares Fireboy DML-assisted Innocent single

The offering, which features Fireboy DML, is available for streaming and download on all major digital platforms.

Released under Sony Music West Africa, ‘Innocent’, produced by Speroachbeatz, fuses Mayorkun’s signature Afrobeats style with fresh, soulful elements. Thematically, the track explores love and life in the public eye. 

Since his breakout single ‘Eleko’ in 2016, Mayorkun has built a reputation as one of Afrobeats’ most notable names. Known for popular songs like ‘Che Che’, ‘Geng’, and ‘Holy Father’, his catalogue includes multiple EPs and two albums: The Mayor of Lagos (2018) and Back In Office (2021). 

Weeks ago, he also appeared on Ghanaian act OliveTheBoy’s ‘A Fuul’ single. Mayorkun’s other 2024 releases include ‘Under the Canopy’ and ‘Lose Control’.

Fireboy DML, meanwhile, signed to YBNL Nation/EMPIRE, boasts over one billion streams across all credits and is best known for songs like ‘Jealous’, ‘Bandana’, ‘Yawa’, and the Ed Sheeran-assisted ‘Peru’, which last year received the Recording Industry Association of America Platinum certification after selling one million copies.
