Mr Eazi launches iGaming platform Choplife.ci
Nigerian singer Mr Eazi this week announced the launch of iGaming platform Choplife.ci for the Ivorian market.
Choplife.ci offers a range of online sports betting and casino games while emphasising responsible gaming practices and reinvestment in African creativity and sports development.
Mr Eazi said the move signified continued dedication to the gaming industry. “This marks a new era in African entertainment. Cote d’Ivoire with its vibrant sports culture and expanding digital ecosystem serves as the perfect launchpad.”
A statement says the endeavour highlights the transformative power of African entrepreneurship in digital entertainment, establishing a new benchmark for industry growth and development in the region.
Choplife.ci is the latest addition to Mr Eazi’s inroads into the gaming industry, building upon his journey that began in 2017 as a brand ambassador for betting company betPawa. Since then, he has transitioned into an investor, shareholder and licensed operating partner of betPawa’s parent company in five countries.
“Throughout his tenure as a local operating partner and through his successful Choplife gaming brand, Mr Eazi has shown his dedication to nurturing talent and promoting African accomplishments in sports,” the statement reads. “He has sponsored sports teams such as Rayon Sports FC in Rwanda and Sporting Lagos in Nigeria, and endorsed athletes like Stephane Fondjo, the WBC Asia and Middle East super middleweight champion, Maxwell Djantou, a globally recognized Sambo champion now progressing in MMA, and Ateba Gautier, an emerging star in MMA.”
A 2024 Young Entrepreneur Award winner at the African Prosperity Champions Award, Mr Eazi is also behind the emPawa Africa initiative catering to artist development, distribution and label services.
Mr Eazi’s recent music releases include The Evil Genius and Chop Life, Vol. 1: Mzansi Chronicles, a collaboration with Kenyan UK-based DJ Edu.
