Open call: Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards 2024
Submissions are currently ongoing for the second annual Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards (GRDAs) ahead of the main ceremony on 15 December in Accra.
The call, following the launch of this year’s awards on 3 October, is open to local musicians, producers, DJs, and MCs, among others primarily operating within the genres. Notable Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artists today include Stonebwoy, Samini, Shatta Wale, and Rocky Dawuni.
To be eligible, songs or albums must have been released between 1 August 2023 and 31 August 2024.
Winners of the GRDAs are decided strictly by the scheme’s academy and board.
This year’s awards will recognise artistic achievements in over 20 categories, kicking off with a Nominees Jam on 13 December.
How to Enter
- Entries can be submitted online via the official GRDAs website or via email at reggaedancehallawardsghana2023@gmail.com.
- Submissions must clearly indicate the category being applied for.
- The names of the artist and producer must be clearly stated for each entry.
The submission deadline is 30 November.
