Open call: Tallinn Music Week 2025

TMW welcomes artists from every genre across the globe to apply for a chance to play at one of the most acclaimed international music discovery festivals in Europe.

TMW 2025 main dates

Music festival: 3 to 5 April

About 175 artists from various genres and scenes from all over Europe and beyond play at Tallinn’s best venues to an audience of around 15 000 people and to 1 000 music industry professionals from international markets and Baltic-Nordic region.

Conference: 4 to 5 April

The conference will feature panel discussions, presentations and practical activities, including dedicated mentoring sessions and one-on-ones with industry professionals – aimed at offering new knowledge and contacts helpful in taking your career to the next level.

Artist benefits

• TMW will offer passes to all artists, collective members and representatives that enable participation in the music festival and conference, including in artist education programme of workshops and mentoring sessions.
• Exposure to more than 1 000 music industry professionals and media representatives and audience of over 15 000 people.
• Access to the TMW PRO digi-platform and networking options with the region’s key music industry professionals as well as with selected international industry experts.
• Promotion to the national and international audiences.
• Possibility to promote new releases of international potential.
• The sound, lighting and backline equipment according to the submitted technical rider within the most suitable showcase and venue; all related assistance by professional production personnel.
• Preparatory info meeting via Zoom with the TMW team.

Additional offers

To foreign artists:

• An opportunity to work with the festival’s promotion and production team on presenting and marketing your new releases.
• Transportation: airport or ferry transfer to the hotel.
• Accommodation: twin rooms for show night.
• Catering on a show day (one hot meal).

To Estonian artists:

• An opportunity to invite relevant international music industry professionals to see your performance at TMW.
• An opportunity to work with the festival’s promotion and production team on presenting and marketing your new releases.

Conditions of this offer

• TMW does not cover international travel or artist fees.
• Once an artist has confirmed the performance, it cannot be cancelled without a solid reason (health, international travel restrictions or similar). In case of cancellation without a solid reason, the artist may be subject to reimbursing costs made by the festival, related to their performance.
• All performances may be photographed, recorded or broadcast by festival’s media partners for promotional purposes. Details will be discussed closer to the performance date.

All applications will be reviewed by the TMW booking team, which includes representatives of both Estonian and international music organisations and experts in various genres and scenes. All applicants will be contacted by January 2025 via a representative’s email submitted in the application form. An email notification will also be sent to the artists who do not get selected.

Artists chosen to perform will be announced in January 2025. The exact announcement date will be agreed in advance. Should applicants have any questions or run into any technical problems when applying, they should reach out to TMW directly via email at info@tmw.ee.
