Register for ACCES 2023 workshops
The Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF) is calling on musicians, producers, managers and music entrepreneurs interested in professional music production, digital music distribution and the music business to participate in the ACCES 2023 workshops on 9, 10 and 11 November in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The workshop programme will be as follows:
Sonic innovations: Exploring new music production technologies
This full-day workshop will delve into the cutting-edge music tech shaping the music production landscape. Participants will get to experiment with virtual reality/augmented reality, AI-generated music, AI mix/master assistants, immersive sound experiences, and other innovative tools. They will also exchange with fellow producers, create simple compositions or arrangements using AI algorithms, and learn how to integrate AI-assisted mixing and mastering seamlessly into their production workflow.

Online distribution essentials: Unlocking your music’s digital journey
Dive into the ins and outs of online music distribution, understand your rights and gain essential skills for preparing your music for digital release worldwide, crafting an effective marketing plan, and pitching your tracks to major platforms.
- Date and time: Friday 10 November – 1pm to 2.30pm.
- Presented in partnership with Ditto Music.
- With Wendy Verwey Bekker (Ditto Music regional manager for Africa, South Africa).
An African creator’s toolkit for global success
International experts will offer insight, tips and tools for creators, managers and record labels to thrive on a global scale.
- Date and time: Saturday 11 November – 10am to 12pm.
- Presented in partnership with Sheer Publishing Africa.
- With Shiro Mwendwa (head of creative & licensing, Sheer Publishing Africa, South Africa), Thando Makhunga (managing director, Sheer Publishing Africa, South Africa), Kefiloe Molefe (head of A&R, Sheer Publishing Africa, South Africa), Marcus Ross (senior licensing and partnerships manager, FUGA, Netherlands), Brian Scally (CEO, Paragon Music Group, Ireland) and Eric Musyoka (producer, Kenya).
- This curated masterclass will take participants through the right steps to a successful international career.
How to participate
- Registration is mandatory and on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Participants can register HERE for the workshops of their choice. Workshops are free-to-attend.
- All workshops will be in English and will take place at the ACCES 2023 main venue at Mlimani City Conference Centre.
