SA: Khanyisa Jaceni shares sophomore EP Halfway

Halfway features contributions from producers including Kabza De Small, Marcus MC, Da Musiqal Chef and Tycoon as well as amapiano vocalists Lady Du, Sir Trill and Sino Msolo.

The album boasts a soulful and funky feel with Jaceni's sultry vocals and sing-along lyrics effortlessly floating over the amapiano signature log drum. Thematically, the project ponders on love, heartbreak and happiness, where Jaceni takes the listener on a kaleidoscopic journey of her life experiences including her transition from being a social media star to making a name for herself as a professional recording artist. 

“I can’t wait to share these stories with you guys, as you know I am a singer-songwriter, storyteller,” Khanyisa said. “I hope you do relate or see yourself in all or some of the songs. I can’t wait to share the experiences and all of the amazing artists that are featured on this EP.” 

The Mpumalanga-born artist shot to fame following the release of her debut EP Soft. The latest offering adds to her growing list of achievements after her hit single ‘Bheka Mina Ngedwa’ received a nod for the Basadi Awards nominations this year after amassing more than three million views.

Aside from music, she was selected as the official influencer and artist for Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty in Africa. She is also one of Vodacom’s top performing influencers for their NXT LVL Get a Gig campaign.
