Apple Music to host New Year’s Eve livestream event
Apple Music will host an exclusive livestream event and a 24-hour radio takeover featuring some of the world’s most celebrated DJs.
The Apple Music Live: New Year’s Eve (NYE) livestream event will kick off at midnight PST (8am GMT) on 31 December with a full-day radio takeover on Apple Music Club and Apple Music 1. The event will feature DJ mixes from globally renowned talent, including Justice, John Summit, Rüfüs Du Sol, Sonny Fodera, horsegiirL, David Rodigan, Chris Stussy, SPINALL, Jyoty, Skratch Bastid, Kayan, DIDI HAN, Erol Alkan, Malechin, DJ KOCO, Yanamaste, Stacey Hotwaxx Hale, Dylan Ali, ARCHANGEL, and Cashu.
The celebrations continue with the second annual Apple Music Live: NYE, recorded at The Cause in London. The event will showcase sets by the iconic Björk, alongside Apple Music’s Tim Sweeney and NAINA. These performances will air on Apple Music Club and Apple Music 1 at 1pm PST (9pm GMT).
Highlighting the evening will be a special video livestream featuring South Africa-based eSwatini DJ Uncle Waffles and UK’s Skepta. Their performances, recorded at The Cause, will be broadcast at 3pm PST (11pm GMT) on Apple Music, Apple Music Club, and Apple Music 1. All four mixes will be available in Spatial Audio, exclusively on Apple Music.
Uncle Waffles is expected to deliver a captivating set. Known for her ability to build anticipation and seamlessly transition between velvet-smooth house tracks, R&B, and her signature amapiano beats, Uncle Waffles promises a performance to remember. For his part, Skepta is expected to keep audiences entranced from start to finish, showcasing his evolution as a DJ and his passion for delivering high-energy performances.
Fans can stream all four Apple Music Live: NYE performances in Spatial Audio on demand after the event. Additional DJ mixes will also be available in Apple Music’s dedicated DJ Mixes space.
