SA: Mi Casa and Mango Groove to headline Splashy Fen 2022
South African bands Mi Casa and GoodLuck among other artists will headline the 2022 Splashy Fen Music Festival, which will take place in Underberg, KwaZulu-Natal, from 14 to 18 April.
Splashy Fen is South Africa’s longest-running music festival featuring traditional music, arts, crafts and lifestyle festivities. The festival’s 2022 line-up was revealed last week following the event’s two-year COVID-related hiatus.
The two groups will be joined by GoodLuck, Steve Mculo, Veranda Panda, Jeremy Loops, Martin Gill, Neon Dreams, Faraway George, Tanner Wareham, Mali Zulu, Honeymooners, Mahala, Holy Funk, Isigqisasekhaya, Freddy-L, Lindo M, Angel Mazibuko and The Kickstands.
Other artists on the line-up include Hayden Rattray, Nipho Hurd, Jason Gladwin, Faraway George, Zen Garden, Shawn Miller, Dawn Morey, David Fisher, Baqgqobi, Tiaan the Muzo, Gav Ferguson, Matt Gardiner, South Bear and Tatum, The Mavericks, Crystal Park, Zebra, Sean Koch, Rubber DUC, and Desmond and the Tutus, among many others.
The performances will be hosted across a number of stages including the Treehouse Stage, Main Stage, and Acoustic Stage.
“It has been absolutely devastating to have missed out on two years of hosting Splashy Fen Music Festival”, Splashy Fen Festival director Stu Berry said. “Not just for our fans, but for the musicians and artists who have had to struggle without work for so long. This is why this is a particularly special event for us, as we work together to reignite the live music scene and to prioritise our local artists in the process.”
Limited tickets are available and no day visitors will be allowed. Purchase tickets to the event here.
