SA: Stellar line-up for new Shimza gig at Sun Bet Arena

Joining Shimza onstage are a number of top local artists such as Zakes Bantwini, Makhadzi and Samthing Soweto as well as renowned DJs Caiiro, Darque, and Sun El Musician. 

“I am happy to be curating such big events of such a magnitude,” Shimza said. “Giving the best in production and performance is a movement that people gravitate towards.”

The award-winning DJ has made a name for himself as a curator of big music events including Kunye, U’R, Shimza and Friends, and Shimza’s One Man Show, which has been running for 14 years. For more than a decade, the DJ has secured his spot at the heart of pop culture playing at big international events such as Burning Man, Ushuaia with Camelphat, Blue Marlin and Void Mykonos, among others.

Shimza doubles as an entrepreneur, notably launching The Hang Awt 1632 in Tembisa, which is a local popular restaurant.

Time Square Sun Arena is among one of the biggest music concert venues in Gauteng with 8 500 seater capacity and has become the home for music events in Pretoria.
