Six African artists get E! People's Choice Awards nod

Other top names in the list are Nigerian musicians Davido and Tiwa Savage as well as South African TV personalities Bonang Matheba and Minnie Dlamini-Jones.

“For the first time and on a global scale, E! will be recognising some of the most iconic and influential people on the African continent via the African Influencer of the Year award category as part of The E! People’s Choice Awards 2019,” E! People's Choice Awards said.

Fans can start voting for their favourite artists today online here or via Twitter by sending a public tweet or retweet and include one category hashtag, one corresponding nominee hashtag, and #PCAs. The hashtag for African Influencer of the Year is #AfricanInfluencer. The nominees' hashtags are as follows:

The 2019 edition of E! People's Choice Awards ceremony will be held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California on 10 November. Voting runs today until 19 October at 05:59 am CAT. Fans can vote up to 25 times per day. Additionally, any vote cast on Tuesdays throughout the voting window will count twice.
