Workshop for aspiring radio and TV presenters
For aspiring radio and TV presenters in today’s competitive media landscape, a little bit of training and some words of wisdom from experienced hands can go a long way. That's why a special Radio and TV Presenting Workshop will be held on Saturday 21 November in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship in Braamfontein.
Hosted by YFM’s DJ Sabby, also a respected TV personality and club DJ, the initiative aims to develop aspiring young presenters. Now in its fifth year, the workshop was started with the aim of developing young talent and equipping them with essential skills that will help them break into the industry and spearhead their media careers.
DJ Sabby feels it’s only right to bring the best in local show business to wrap up the year for the TV and Radio Presenting workshop. This year’s invited guest speakers include Mzansi Magic presenter Sthembiso ‘SK’ Khoza, Rob Forbes from 5FM, Kaya FM's Katlego Mabusela and Lindi Sirame, and Tsholo Maseko from SABC1, who will all be sharing their knowledge about the industry. Media strategist Zimasa ‘Mooshtaffa’ Lupuwana will also be sharing his knowledge and explain why social media is important for any broadcaster.
The workshop costs R300, which includes entrance for the two sessions (radio and television), certificates and light snacks. For more information e-mail radioandtvpresentingtraining@yahoo.com or visit the workshop Facebook page.
