Audiomack takes Keep The Beat Going campaign to Ghana
US music streaming and audio distribution platform Audiomack is taking its Keep The Beat Going campaign to Ghana following its launch in Nigeria in June.
The initiative is geared toward empowering creatives and inspiring listeners to tap into new music from across Africa, and will be unveiled in other countries in the coming months. It forms part of the DSP’s global music discovery mission comprising creator workshops, playlists, digital ads and strategic partnerships.
In Ghana, the campaign will feature top acts including Stonebwoy, KiDi and MzVee, all of whom will feature in a documentary telling Ghanaian stories through music. Audiomack has partnered with Accra-based Y 107.9 FM to launch the ‘Audiomack Hour’. The programme, which airs Fridays, is composed of artist interviews and the Audiomack Top 10 Ghana playlist spotlighting the biggest songs in the country.
“The Keep The Beat Going campaign is our way of further connecting the Audiomack audience to the diverse world of African music,” Audiomack’s VP of marketing and brand strategy, Jason Johnson, said.
“We care about the artist, the producer, and the fan, and want to make sure they are represented across billboards, radio ads, and more as we move music forward worldwide.”
Launched in 2012, Audiomack currently boasts more than 20 million monthly users globally.
Meanwhile, Audiomack has announced Ghanaian singer Black Sherif as its #UpNow artist for August. The musician, who joins the likes of Nigeria’s Omah Lay and Ayra Starr as beneficiaries of the series dedicated to spotlighting and promoting the next generation of global music superstars, will enjoy editorial support including featuring on the cover of the dedicated #UpNow playlist, as well as specialised marketing and social promotion.
